PLEASE NOTE: Under the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Practice (CUSPAP) , CRA members must use that designation in connection with the appraisal, review or consulting on individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites and of dwellings containing not more than four (4) self-contained family housing units.  Where a CRA Member signs a report beyond their scope of work, it must be co-signed by an AACI.

Under CUSPAP, prior to accepting an assignment or entering into an agreement to perform any assignment, an appraiser must have the knowledge and experience to complete the assignment competently, alternatively, take all steps necessary or appropriate to complete the assignment competently.

National President 2016 -2017 Appraisal Institute of Canada Dan Brewer has over 46 years of property valuation and consulting experience in the private sector and is currently a senior appraiser and consultant for Appraisers Canada Inc with offices in Richmond Hill and Barrie. Dan joined the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 1983 and earned his CRA designation in 1987, then his AACI, P.App in 2006. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker, a licensed Mortgage Broker and he holds the Real Estate Institute of Canada’s CRP designation for Certified Reserve Fund Planner and Property Condition Assessments. During the past 30 years Dan has served on several committees at both the provincial and national level and he also speaks at various seminars and conferences in Canada, USA and Europe.
