PLEASE NOTE: Under the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Practice (CUSPAP) , CRA members must use that designation in connection with the appraisal, review or consulting on individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites and of dwellings containing not more than four (4) self-contained family housing units. Where a CRA Member signs a report beyond their scope of work, it must be co-signed by an AACI.
Under CUSPAP, prior to accepting an assignment or entering into an agreement to perform any assignment, an appraiser must have the knowledge and experience to complete the assignment competently, alternatively, take all steps necessary or appropriate to complete the assignment competently.

Louis Poirier is a second generation AACI and has extensive experience valuing most types of real estate. Louis specializes in appraisal review, property assessment and tax matters, litigation and arbitration support, as well as market value appraisals. Louis’ practice area covers much of Eastern Canada and Quebec; although he has completed valuation and consultative assignments in all Canadian provinces. He is an avid volunteer with the AIC having served as provincial board president in NB and Quebec, past chair of the National Communications Committee, past member and past chair of the National Standards Committee, and represented NB and Quebec on the AIC National Board of Directors. Louis is also a professional standards instructor.
