PLEASE NOTE: Under the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Practice (CUSPAP) , CRA members must use that designation in connection with the appraisal, review or consulting on individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites and of dwellings containing not more than four (4) self-contained family housing units. Where a CRA Member signs a report beyond their scope of work, it must be co-signed by an AACI.
Under CUSPAP, prior to accepting an assignment or entering into an agreement to perform any assignment, an appraiser must have the knowledge and experience to complete the assignment competently, alternatively, take all steps necessary or appropriate to complete the assignment competently.

I am an AACI, P.App. designated appraiser and partner at S.W. Irvine & Associates in Guelph, ON, with expertise in the valuation of agricultural and rural properties. I am an active member and currently the Chair of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors (CAFA) Wellington County Chapter. I am deeply committed to professional development and continuous learning, consistently staying in tune with the newest developments and innovations in the agricultural sector. Within my professional sphere, I am passionate about mentoring aspiring appraisers, volunteering within the community, engaging in panels, and supporting students at the University of Guelph.
For 2022/2023, I was honored to serve as the youngest-ever Appraisal Institute of Canada - Ontario President in the organization's 75+ year history. I have also been fortunate to receive recognition for my dedication to the profession, including awards such as the Appraisal Institute of Canada's Tyler Beatty - Top Under 40 Award for 2023, Young Professional of the Year for 2023 from the Guelph Chamber of Commerce, and the 10x10 Alumni with Impact Award from the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph in 2021.
