Path to AIC Designation

AIC offers two designations that you can pursue:

Canadian Residential Appraiser (P. App., CRA)

Types of Work

With this designation you can appraise houses, semi-detached houses, townhouses of four units or less, condominiums and residential vacant lots or land.

Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (P. App., AACI)

Types of Work

With this designation you can appraise any type of property including land, agricultural properties, machinery and equipment and commercial and residential buildings.

What level of education do you have already?

I have completed less than two years of full-time post-secondary education

I have completed at least two years of full-time post-secondary education (i.e. university degree courses, college diploma courses, CÉGEP courses)

I have completed a Canadian university degree in any subject other than business or commerce

I have completed a Canadian university degree in business or commerce

I have completed or am actively enrolled in an international university degree/program
