Location: Nanaimo (with occasional travel required between Cedar to Comox to cover appraisers on holiday)

Job Description:
We are seeking either a licensed or candidate Residential Real Estate Appraiser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating residential properties to determine their fair market value, providing essential information for various real estate transactions, including mortgage approvals, property sales and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough property site visits and assessments to gather data on location, condition, and quality.
- Utilize market research and analysis to identify comparable properties and sales data.
- Perform accurate property valuations and prepare comprehensive appraisal reports in compliance with AIC Canada regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to answer questions and provide clarification on appraisal reports.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market changes, and evolving appraisal standards.
Qualifications:
- BUSI 330: Foundations of Real Estate Appraisal course must be completed.
- Ability to work in Canada.
- Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Valid Driver’s License
Work Environment:
Our appraisers have the flexibility to work from home. We do not have a physical office location, so you can enjoy a comfortable and efficient work environment in the comfort of your own home.
Compensation:
This position is on a contractor fee-split basis, and compensation will be based on the number of files completed. We offer competitive rates to reward your expertise and dedication.
