Description de l'emploi:

Appraisers – Commercial Real Estate

Long established and well respected commercial appraisal firm looking for appraiser(s) to complement our experienced commercial team in Ottawa.  If you are an established appraiser looking for a solid and cohesive new team or a commercial real estate professional with a business degree and an aptitude for analysis and love of math interested in becoming an AACI accredited appraiser, this is a great opportunity worth exploring.

Juteau Johnson Comba (www.juteaujohnsoncomba.com.) is offering two excellent (full-time, permanent) opportunities – one for an experienced AACI and another for a motivated candidate with an undergraduate business degree who is committed to working towards the AACI designation.

The Opportunity

This an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, analytical professional with a proven interest in commercial real estate to expand and develop their existing skill set in Ottawa’s thriving real estate and development sector.

The successful candidate will be directly mentored by an AACI and trained to conduct all levels of property specific research including location analysis, zoning and land use regulations, sales research, property inspections, lease and budget reviews etc.  Sales and lease analysis/research will be from both internal data bases and through contact made with external brokers, landlords, property managers, vendors, purchasers etc.

 Keys to Success

The successful experienced proponent will have commercial appraisal experience and an AACI designation. For the role working towards an AACI designation, successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in business is required, with completion of a program in real estate or finance being highly regarded.

An ideal candidate for either role will have the drive and determination to produce the highest quality work in their DNA. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational ability and strong attention to detail are imperative. The ability to pro-actively build and maintain business relationships (within the local brokerage and landlord communities and the associated business sectors), and the ability to thrive under tight timelines without compromising accuracy are also key competencies in this role.

Proven advanced computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are essential and knowledge of Argus Enterprise would be considered a great asset.

While much of your work will be performed in the east end office, you must have an ability to be mobile (including a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving abstract and insurance) and given the nature of the portfolio, be willing to work a flexible schedule and occasionally travel within Eastern Ontario.

What We Offer

Beyond this exceptional opportunity for career development, there is an attractive compensation package which includes a competitive salary and benefits.  Due to the cohesive nature of this team, cultural and managerial fit are extremely important and will be major factors in the decision-making process – hardworking, smart people with a positive nature will fit right in. This position is based out of the professional offices in the Ottawa Business Park with easy access to many amenities.
