Company Overview:
We are a fast-growing real estate development and asset management company with a current portfolio of projects in Ontario, Alberta, BC, and soon expanding to the USA. Our small but dynamic team is seeking a Real Estate Financial Analyst to assist in deal sourcing, financial analysis, and project management, while also providing administrative support to streamline operations.
Position Overview:
The Real Estate Financial Analyst will be responsible for conducting financial analysis on current and prospective real estate projects, assisting with deal sourcing, and managing the financial aspects of ongoing projects. This role will also involve supporting the senior team with project management and administrative tasks, with potential for growth into broader responsibilities as the company expands.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling for real estate investments, including acquisition and development projects.
Assist in the deal sourcing process, identifying new opportunities and conducting due diligence on prospective investments.
Support project management efforts by tracking financial progress, budgets, and timelines for active projects.
Prepare financial reports, including pro formas, cash flow forecasts, and investment summaries.
Collaborate with brokers, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate deal execution.
Manage administrative tasks, including coordinating meetings, maintaining project documentation, and tracking progress against milestones.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial performance and market analysis.
Assist in the preparation of presentations and investment materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Support asset management functions, including tracking asset performance and optimizing the financial returns of existing properties.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in real estate financial analysis, investment analysis, or a similar role.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
Experience with Argus software is an asset.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with real estate development processes and project management.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
Highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills.
