Legacy Appraisals is seeking a qualified Residential Appraiser to join our team as an Independent Contractor. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating residential properties to determine the fair market value, providing essential information for various real estate transactions, including mortgage approvals, property sales and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential appraisal, specifically holding the AIC designation.
Responsibilities:
-Conduct thorough property site visits and assessments to gather data on location, condition, and quality using industry standards and guidelines
-Provide accurate and detailed reports on property valuations in compliance with AIC Canada regulations
-Utilize market research and analysis to identify comparable properties and sales data
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and regulations
Qualifications:
-AIC designation in good standing with the AIC
-Professional liability insurance
-Valid driver’s license
-Experience with appraisal report writing, property inspections, onsite data collection
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-Excellent communication skills. Both written and oral formats
-Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
-Ability to work with different technologies, maintain records and strong organization skills
Compensation:
This is a contractor commission-based position with a fee split arrangement. The successful candidate will receive a percentage of the appraisal fee for each completed appraisal.
