Job Description:
Position: Commercial AACI Appraiser
Location: Red Deer, Alberta
TruePoint Appraisals is a forward-thinking and professional appraisal firm with a strong presence in Red Deer, Alberta. We are currently seeking a dedicated Commercial Appraiser to join our team. An AACI, P.App. designation is preferred, but will train if needed.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should have or be actively pursuing or already possess the AACI P. App. designation with the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC).
- Strong professional work ethic with the ability to think creatively and solve problems efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in professional writing and editing.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing tasks while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make accurate assessments
- Proficiency in financial concepts and calculations related to real estate appraisal
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and interacting with clients
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in property evaluations and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct property inspections to gather relevant data for appraisal purposes
- Analyze property data, including sales records, market trends, and comparable properties
- Use valuation methods and techniques to determine the fair market value of properties
- Prepare detailed appraisal reports that comply with industry standards and regulation
- Communicate appraisal findings to clients and provide recommendations as needed
- Stay updated on local real estate market trends and changes in regulations
