Job Description:
We are a growing real estate appraisal firm located in the Niagara / Hamilton area of southern Ontario. We strive for excellence and have a reputation for the same. Our client base has expanded to the point where we require a new member of our team. This position entails a combination of research, data entry and writing in a support role to our senior appraisers. Note that while we complete appraisals in the agricultural, residential and industrial/commercial/investment real estate sectors, we specialize in the valuation of agricultural real estate across southern Ontario. As a result, this position entails working primarily in rural and agricultural real estate markets, although there will be some work in urban industrial/commercial/investment markets as well. The position is designed to progress to a fully accredited AACI, P.App senior appraiser role.
The successful candidate for this position is an individual who habitually strives for excellence. Note that, as we specialize in dispute resolution situations with our work regularly being subject to scrutiny by numerous parties, the position requires a very detail-oriented and patient individual. This individual also communicates well in writing and has strong mathematical / analytical skills. This person has a strong work ethic, being a self-starter who works well independently while having a team player mentality.
Note that our team-based approach is integral to the high quality work we produce. As a result, we have a hybrid work environment and there is an expectation to be in the Grimsby, ON office at least three days per week.
