Senior Commercial Real Estate Appraiser
Wagner, Andrews & Kovacs Ltd. is seeking a Senior Appraiser to join our firm in independently preparing commercial market value appraisals on a variety of property types throughout the Greater Toronto Area (and occasionally outside the GTA)
The Senior Appraiser’s role will include the following:
- prepare market value appraisal reports
- conduct all levels of property specific research, including property history, location analysis, zoning and land use regulations; as well as property inspections
- communicate with clients and lenders
- conduct research and analysis of sales and lease deals, from both internal databases and external brokers
- conduct research and analyses of the commercial real estate market;
- review of leases and budgets, cash flow analysis and presentation, Argus inputting, and report writing; and
- business development.
Compensation will be commensurate with the level of experience, and may include a combination of base salary and/or commissions, with strong potential for future growth.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have anywhere from 3 to 10 years of prior commercial real estate appraisal experience with strong research and writing skills, along with the following characteristics:
- Very thorough in their work;
- Experience in commercial real estate appraisal;
- Can work independently;
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy and attention to details;
- Knowledge of Argus Enterprise;
- An undergraduate degree, and either an AACI designation or being close to achieving the AACI designation;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel and Word);
- Valid drivers licence and vehicle;
- Exhibit a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills; and
- Ability to learn quickly and retain information.
